BIFAB Horizontal Band Saw - BS-250M

The BS-250M has a DC variable speed motor for speeds ranging from 114 to 262 feet per minute. This allows the operator to precisely adjust the speed for the proper blade and material. This increases precision and decreases waste, allowing for longer-lasting blades and less operating costs. The BS-250M includes a powerful industrial grade coolant pump that washes away chips both before and after the cutting area. This cools the blade teeth, removes metal chips and lubricates the blade, hence extending blade life. The BS-250 band saw comes standard with a stop gauge in inches and millimeters. The vise can quickly be positioned via hand wheel and is ultimately locked into position on the piece of material using a 1/4 turn taper lock. The jaws of the vice are serrated to assure no movement of the material being cut; this ultimately will increase blade life.

The BS-250 band saw cuts using the pull down arm and trigger switch to activate the blade and coolant, or if you are making a production run, you can switch the machine over to cut using the hydraulic descent feature. This will cut through the metal using the pressure you determine and will shut down the blade and coolant when completed. The BS-250M is a single miter band saw capable of cutting up to 9 inch round metal stock. This mitering band saw can cut from zero up to sixty degree angles. It has a powerful 2 HP DC motor that delivers high torque even at slower speeds, ensuring no chattering of the blade. This horizontal metal cutting band saw has a direct drive gear box, meaning there are no pulleys or belts to worry about failing. Changing the miter angle takes seconds, considering the change uses no tools or no alterations to the vise position. The cabinet allows for a back friendly height of 35 inches and uses as little floor space as possible. Best of all this horizontal band saw requires 240 volts of power, meaning it can work in any facility in Europe that has power.
